Sales Executive/ Representative - Oracle's Retail Global Business Unit (RGBU) Oracle provides the world's most complete, open, and integrated businesssoftware and hardware systems. Oracle Retail Global Business Unit (RGBU) was formed in 2005, as partof a major shift in Oracle's strategy to create dedicated industrybusiness units for a select group of industries to lead its entry intothe vertical industries. The retail vertical industry was at theforefront of this push. Oracle Retail Global Business Unit (RGBU), whichhas proved to be the template for the other industry global businessunits, includes teams for development, product strategy, businessstrategy, sales, consulting, product marketing and operations, withRGBU's Global Head reporting directly into Oracle's Headquarters. This reporting structure signaled Oracle's intent to make substantialinvestments in these industries, and, for retail, is borne out byOracle's strategic acquisitions since 2005 of key applications that hadgood credibility and a rich heritage of experience in the retailindustry, such as Retek (merchandising, merchandise planning, retailsupply chain management and store inventory management), ProfitLogic(markdown optimisation), 360Commerce (POS, now called Oracle RetailPoint-of-Service), Advanced Visual Technology (AVT, 3D visual macrospace planning), Art Technology Group (ATG, e-commerce) and morerecently, Micros Retail. Oracle Retail Business Unit EMEA is looking for a Retail Cloud salesRepresentative in the UK, ideal candidate base location will be betweenBirmingham and London as there the territory is geographically quitebroad. Regular travel to Reading/London will be required for meetingsand events. The person involved will be responsible for: Delivering licence sales revenue within the retail vertical. Creating and maintaining a pipeline. Working with the Sales Director to assess the market and identify suitable retail organizations to target. Creating relationships within target retailers from executives to project team in order to identify demand Acting as trusted adviser to C-level people Orchestrating sales campaigns, managing resources assigned to campaigns, negotiating and closing deals. Working with the greater Oracle to maximise our chances of winning and to create follow on demand for other Oracle technology and applications. Working in conjunction with the Alliances Representative in the region to foster effective partnerships with the system integrators and influencing community. Reporting forecasting demand and maintaining accurate and effective account plans. Skills and experience: Experience selling Retail or Consumer Product Goods industry either within an enterprise application vendor, a systems integrator, a Cloud Software company or with a retailer. A strong track record in sales roles in the industry is essential. Strong Retail Solutions skills particularly omni-channel commerce and Stores solutions Strategic "board level" selling and the building of value creation programs are key requirements for this role. Successful partner development and liaison is a strong advantage. The individual needs to have a "can do" attitude and strongly self motivated. Detailed Description and Job Requirements:Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to alarge number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory(mainly Tier 3 accounts).Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions andrelated services to prospective and existing customers. Manage salesthrough forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, andplanning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of theapplication. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of avalue proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to closethe sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providingdirection and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex,involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in areaof specialization. 8 years applicable experience including 7 years ofsales experience. Successful sales track record. Ability to penetrateaccounts, meet with stakeholders within accounts. Oracle knowledgeand/or knowledge of Oracle*s competitors. Interaction with C levelplayers. Team player with strong interpersonal /communication skills.Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills withprospects/customers. Travel may be needed.
