We are looking for a key member of our finance team, you must want to succeed and be part of a growing business.

The role is based in Reading, at Suttons Business Park, and you will be provided with a base salary and a discretionary 5% bonus on top.

The role requires the individual to:

- Prepare and interpret the business financial reports and analyses during the month-end
- Its a Key role in month-end financial accounting processes, controlling sub-ledgers within integrated accounts
- Acts as a business partner across the organisation, assisting other departments understand expenditure patterns and performance
- Assists in the budgeting and forecasting of the financial performance of the business.
- Proactively contribute to raising the quality and standard of financial information, financial behaviour and financial support throughout the department.

KEY AREAS OF DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY

- Play an integral part of the Finance Team.
- Assist in producing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly management accounts, as necessary for the business.
- Preparation of Group and Tax Packs at the financial year-end.
- Develop key relationships with auditors, assisting the Financial Controller with delivery of key schedules.
- Assist in producing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly management accounts.
- Reconciliation of the Cashbook and other accounts, investigating variances.
- Completion and Submission of VAT, Intrastat & EC Sales.
- Produce monthly reports for group reporting purposes, including Business Review and Cash Flow forecasts.
- Assist in the production of budget and re-forecasts, delivery of all budgetary information and analyses in line with business strategic plans.
- Provide information to and review performance with the cost centre managers to enable them to monitor and manage their budgets.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

- Part Qualified Accountant at a recognised accountancy body
- Experience in processing journals and bank transactions in an accounting entry system
- Background in manufacturing is desirable
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft software applications. Advanced excel skills are essential
- Self-motivated and pro-active member of a Finance team. Able to cope with change and conflicting demands, with a commitment to getting the job done.
- Dedicated to furthering the standards of the department and finding solutions that fit the business.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, being able to explain financial information and to communicate effectively within the organisation.
- Strong time management skills and comfortable with working to deadlines.
