Esure are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner to cover a 12 month fixed term contract based in Reigate, Surrey.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Working closely with business areas to provide a high quality HR service and provide solutions that enable the business functions to make key people decisions effectively as well as ensuring delivery and implementation of the HR plan.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work with the business to understand operational business plans and ensure an effective people plan is in place to support delivery
  • Partner with Leader stakeholders at business level (and team level as appropriate)
  • Implementation delivery at Business level of HR Plan
  • Provide advice and support to HR Specialists on complex case management and overflow cases
  • Ensure HR/People/Policy best practice is followed at Business level in areas such absence management, capability, conduct and performance
  • Understand all of the key people metrics within a business area eg absence, recruitment requirements, disciplinary, grievances and provide insight and solutions to the business within the overall HR frameworks
  • Coach and support People Managers to identify and respond to people issues and opportunities in order to maximise the effectiveness of their people and to facilitate delivery of operational business plans
  • Support the delivery of the esure engagement survey and work with the business manager on action planning and implementation of actions
  • Be key support to the business functions in effectively managing their people risks in their business areas
  • Represent HR at business meetings, providing insight on people metrics and updating on key HR plans and projects
  • Provide innovative, informed and pragmatic solutions to a variety of complex HR issues taking full account of internal policies, HR best practice, legislative practice (including DPA), equality and regulatory requirements
  • Support business functions refreshers on all HR policies and procedures as and when required
  • Support, advise and coach the business functions on the Implementation and operation of the Performance Management Process and ensure that consistency of approach is achieved
  • Actively support the pay review process and provide advice and guidance to managers on reward
  • Support the design and implementation of projects including Succession Planning, Talent Management, Recruitment and ad-hoc projects

  • Experienced HR practitioner, with experience of operating at Business Partner level for a busy and demanding client area
  • Ability to understand people metrics and design solutions
