An exciting new role has becomes available for a Training L&D Manager to join a established client based in Sittingbourne

The successful client will work closely with the operational management teams to ensure that all workers are trained & can demonstrate competence within their roles & the tasks that they are carrying out.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure that training and competency assessments are carried out with minimum disruption to production and all relevant documentation is maintained and up to date.
* Take full ownership of the site L&D strategy.
* Conduct a full audit of training requirements within the business and provide a gap analysis based on the findings
* Develop and maintain a role based training matrix ensuring full legal and policy compliance
* Be responsible for the design and management of training systems and processes
* Communicate training plans and policies across the site
* Work with our on-site agencies to ensure consistent standards of training through fit for purpose training design and audits of their delivery
* Build and maintain a live training needs analysis for each department and communicate the info regularly with the department/shift based management teams
* Work alongside a training coordinator and operational teams to develop a library of training material/SOPs/Work Instructions
* Coordinate training activities
* Ensure that Quality, Food Safety, Health and Safety legalities are adhered to by training out standards, processes and any other relevant materials
* Design and implement simple tests of knowledge and understanding and apply to training
* Coordinate and assist with conducting inductions and site tours and coordinate the training of new starters and role transfers
* Deliver training to functional trainers and assess their capability to deliver the training plan
* Training delivery
* Drive demonstrable business improvement through capability development
* Source best value training products externally where required
* Review training material and recommend updates on a regular, ongoing basis

Requirements:

* An individual with demonstrable training experience both writing and delivering training and developing a strategy
* Training experience in a manufacturing/production environment will be extremely advantageous
* Experience of working with employees from different nationalities with varying language barriers is preferable
* Good IT and communication skills
