I currently have an excellent opportunity available for an Senior Environmental Planner to join a leading independent consultancy based in their Birmingham team. This business offer high quality consultancy services including environmental, planning and design, and work with public and private sector clients throughout the UK.
About the Role
The successful candidate will join a fast-paced environmental planning team and will play an important role in the delivery of high quality project deliverables. Your main responsibilities will include project managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), leading project teams and managing projects of varying scales. You will also be expected to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and within given time and budget restrictions. You will provide advice and guidance on EIA matters and environment aspects of a range of planning applications
About You
To be considered for this position, you will hold a BSc or MSc in a relevant environmental discipline and/or environmental planning experience. You will ideally have 2-3 years' experience working within a similar role, ideally within a consultancy setting and will demonstrate experience coordinating and preparing EIAs and ESs. The successful candidate will show strong working knowledge of current relevant regulations, consents processes and the UK planning system. It is also desirable that the candidate has commercial awareness, being able to manage budgets and input into bidding and approval of projects.
