I am working on behalf of one of the largest not for profit care providers in the UK in their search for a Temporary Credit Control Clerk (the position is expected to last min 3 months')

Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with local authority and other care funders to ensure that fees are being processed accurately and resolve any payment disputes

Accurately Record and Maintain resident account information

Ensure that new admissions, discharges and other account variations are input onto the primary system to maintain accuracy of data.

Ensure direct debits are set up correctly for the residents' payments and funds received are dealt with accordingly

Process ad-hoc billing and advance fees in a timely and accurate manner

Prepare residents/local authority credits for refund approval

Ensure that resident statements are sent accurately

Record data in financial systems such as Coldharbour and prepare journal entries in Coda as part of monthly close

Assist in maintaining resident account data and records in a safe and compliant manner

About the candidate:

Experience:

Experience working in credit control for local authority/other care funders

Knowledge of funding for elderly care

Good understanding of all Microsoft Office Packages

Knowledge of general ledger and accounts receivable systems

Qualifications:

Recognised accounting qualification (AAT/progressing towards AAT or undergraduate degree in accounting and/or finance)

Knowledge of Credit Control
