Our Client is a provider of sterile services for re-usable surgical instruments. They provide sterilisation and decontamination services to a variety of Healthcare providers including Acute NHS Trusts, NHS primary care providers and healthcare operators in the private sector.
They are looking for a Quality Assistant to join them where you will ensure that product and processes are in line with our Client’s Quality Management Systems. This is a permanent, full time position based at their Aylesham site.
Within the role you will investigate customer complaints, and will deal with any customer queries, helping to resolve any issues. Supervising the quarantined area and overseeing that records and customer communication is maintained, you will deal with contaminated and broken instruments, completing necessary paperwork where required whilst ensuring that the QMS is adhered to and procedures are followed.
They are looking for someone who has a good general education coupled with a knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilisation procedures.
Experience of working in a hospital environment is desirable, and an interest or experience in quality systems is needed. With the ability to work to a high level of quality compliance and record keeping, you will be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. As the role involves a lot of customer contact, good communication skills are essential.
