Niche Company Providing Policy & Demand Forecasts In Transport Planning Sector - Parking Perspectives Ltd 

 

A Data Analyst [Excel] required for immediate start based in Chelmsford.

This role will support the project manager deliver planning policy and demand forecasting projects for clients across the UK and overseas. It will include the design and execution of surveys, collation, assimilation and analysis of data from multiple sources, development of spreadsheet models and other tools to provide interpretation, visualisation and forecasts, researching policy, opinion and case studies and support writing technical reports.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has an A Level in Mathematics or equivalent
  • Is competent with Excel
  • Has an excellent attention to detail and is thorough
  • Is able to question and investigate
  • Can assimilate data from various sources
  • Is organised, can plan own workload and prioritise
  • Is able to travel, overseas if necessary, sometimes at short notice, stay away for several days and work independently
  • Is articulate in English, both written and spoken

And would consider the following to be advantageous

  • Has written program code
  • Is a competent user of Word
  • Has experience with databases
  • Has an understanding of economics

What we offer:

For the right candidate we can offer a diverse, interesting and challenging workload. The standard working week is 37½ hours though there will be a requirement to work flexibly. The post is fixed term with a view to becoming permanent. Staff will begin a process of learning the various aspects of the work and benefit from working with someone who has over 25 years' experience, leads training on his subject at professional lectures and has presented at conferences in the last few years in the USA, Canada, Singapore and locations across Europe. The successful applicant will be supported in their development of new ways of examining data and written information and learning appropriate to the delivery of the mathematical tools and models relevant to the work. Initial starting salary up to £20,000 with early opportunity to progress with increased responsibilities.
