Legal Executive
This is an exciting opportunity to join a GBP2.5BN business to develop your legal skills within this fast moving internal Legal team. You would be responsible for a range of aspects revolving around commercial contracts.
Some of the Key Responsibilities for this exciting Legal role are as follows:
Co-ordinating and managing new vendor set-up (vendor on-boarding) process from receipt of the approved pre-vendor business plan through to contract finalisation
Business overview & review to determine the terms required for a new contract/contract amendment/contract renewal
Issuing standard contracts, or review of a vendor's terms
Proof reading
Assisting with redlining & high lighting unacceptable terms, negotiating terms
Co-ordinating & attending meetings or conference calls with vendors for purposes of negotiating terms (commercial & legal)
Clarification & or approval of terms & risk reviews with Commercial Contracts Manager, Purchasing Director and/or Head of Legal and Compliance (as appropriate)
Co-ordinating & managing both internal & vendor personnel until agreement is in place & vendor is set up
Preparing final contract documents
Co-ordinating signatures & countersignatures
Scanning & filing completed contracts
Ensuring finalised contractual terms are captured in a spreadsheet or contract management tool
Proof reading of received customer sales bespoke contracts
Assisting with preparation of comments and/or redlining & high lighting unacceptable terms
Other aspects of the role area
Promote awareness of competition law issues
Liaising with sales & commercial internal business personnel when contract terms don't align
Move vendors onto newer contract agreements when & where possible
Contract training programs
Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and
Preferable to have 1-2 years PQE as a paralegal or equivalent
