Housekeeping Manager - Facilities

Pier Recruitment are supporting a successful, well-known local charity in their search for a temporary Housekeeping Manager within their Facilities team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Housekeeping Manager to step in on a temporary basis and lead the housekeeping team for approximately 2 months.

This is a well-known local charity within the Sussex area who provide a fantastic service. The Housekeeping and Facilities team are an integral part of the successful running of the charity.
This charity is located near public transport and provides on-site parking and whilst it is not in the centre of town, there are shops and cafes within a reasonably easy reach.
This is a temporary tole on a full-time basis, working Monday-Friday 7am - 3pm ideally.

The role:

* Responsible for the smooth running of the Housekeeping team and reporting to the Facilities Manager
* Managing Housekeeping team and ensuring any issues, absences and staffing issues are dealt with
* Organising staff and staff rotas
* Working to strict Health and Safety and cleanliness standards
* Regular inspections of all areas for cleanliness
* Liaising with internal departments and external agencies
* Training new staff
* Problem solving
* Working to budget

You will:

* Demonstrate experience within a similar position
* Have experience of managing a housekeeping team
* Be available to start immediately
* Be confident managing a diverse, multi-disciplinary team
* Be able to hit the ground running
* Enjoy a fast-paced, working environment
* Demonstrate knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
* Have experience and knowledge of housekeeping procedures
* Highly IT literate
* Be confident and have experience of working within budget
* Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Be enthusiastic and personable

This is a full-time role for approximately 2 months and will be a fast-paced role managing a team of around 30 people.
