SALARY: GBP22,000

JOB PURPOSE

  • Maintain and develop a portfolio of new and existing corporate clients by providing high quality advice to an agreed budget. Primary focus of role is to ensure client retention.
  • Ensure that revenue from this portfolio is profitable, identify and expand lines of cover and service delivery from existing corporate clients via cross-selling
  • Identify and proactively develop new business opportunities
  • Provide a professional high quality service to all clients, colleagues and other third parties
  • To not only meet but to exceed both internal and external client expectations

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/DELIVERABLES

  • Responsible for client account ownership - anticipates and responds to the on-going and future needs and objectives of clients, with a prompt and flexible approach to meet and exceed their expectations and ensure consistent delivery of outstanding service.
  • Deal with the servicing of all allocated clients including renewals, mid-term amendments and claims and also attend meetings with clients as and when appropriate and/or required
  • Process applications and schemes in accordance with published procedures, and take a shared responsibility for ensuring that suitability report, fact find and anti-money laundering procedures are properly followed
  • Actively contribute towards the development and management of the Direct Healthcare corporate objectives
  • Demonstrates extensive and up to date technical healthcare knowledge at all times, advising clients as required within the designated Permitted Areas of Activity as confirmed by line management/Compliance
  • Maintains and develops strong relationships with both new and existing corporate clients, and is relied upon as their trusted adviser
  • Ensure the profitable growth of the business by identifying and proactively developing and securing additional revenue from existing clients and new client relationships through cross selling initiatives, referrals, professional connections and leveraging company internal network
  • Proactively identify other new business opportunities for both Employee Benefits and Wealth Management and General Insurance broking colleagues within the company Group
  • Take overall responsibility to ensure all clients are profitable, serviced on the agreed service standards
  • Preparation of detailed client reports, power point presentations, spreadsheets etc
  • Ensure all client requirements are dealt with promptly and records updated
  • Prioritise and take proactive responsibility for own workload in accordance with the published procedures, including taking ownership of tasks and enquiries, identifying problems and suggesting solutions. Maintain and use effective diary systems via 1st Adviser Office
  • Keep line management updated with progress towards agreed deadlines, and communicate clearly in all directions on work related matters
  • Observe and adhere to TCF responsibilities
  • Adhere to the Company's Training and Competency Scheme
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure the part of the business for which you are accountable for, demonstrably complies with applicable laws, rules, regulation, good governance and company shared values, including putting clients at the heart of our business. If shortcomings are identified, take responsibility for remedial action planning and action in conjunction with the relevant experts within the firm
  • Develop effective internal and external relationships to assist in providing an efficient professional service to clients in line with service agreements and manage their expectations on work being undertaken
  • Work at all times in accordance with company procedures and Healthcare Sales processes, and recommend improvements in processes and procedures to deal with clients more efficiently and cost effectively
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets, through retention of existing clients and new business generation to existing clients via cross selling.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

Desirable:

CII PMI qualifications

Technical knowledge and understanding Good level of technical healthcare knowledge (ie products, policies, insurance market and related issues) through appropriate industry exams and CPD

  • Maintains industry, sector and technical knowledge
  • Developing core consulting skills around communication, questioning, listening, report writing and presenting
  • IT literate - Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and relevant internal systems/databases
  • Ensures that individually and as a firm we "Treat Customers Fairly"

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience within similar role in Healthcare
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Excellent organisation skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work, including ability to produce high standards of documentation
  • Good customer service and relationship building skills
