The main purpose of Job:
We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to remove and refit automatic transmissions as well as service and repair work. You will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of machines, transmissions and mechanical systems.
An excellent technician must have great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions.
Main Duties:
Duties would mainly include removing and refitting automatic transmissions as well as transfer boxes, differentials and fitting clutches for various types of vehicles. You will fault-find and establishing issues with automatic gearboxes under a diagnosis basis and service different types of transmissions. You will also be able to ensure parts are ordered, stored safely and secured for rebuilding and repairs.
Person specification:
* Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, electrical work and vehicle electronics.
* Full UK driving license.
* Be confident in your own abilities and have good communication skills.
* Be able to prioritise your own workload.
* A strong commitment to health and safety guidelines.
* Completion of an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent NVQ, BTEC or City & Guilds qualifications is an advantage.
Salary will be dependent on skills and experience.
