The Post

Brent Housing Management Service is leading the way in transforming council services. We are aiming to deliver contemporary, digital and seamless services which really work for our customers. We are pushing forward fast to improve services by providing our staff with the tools they need to deliver and you can be part of the exciting change programme.

The Asset Data Analyst will work in collaboration with a small Strategic Asset Management team to lead on the collection, validation and analysis of asset data necessary to implement our investment, acquisition and disposal programmes.

You will provide analytical reports to colleagues in the Strategic Asset Management team and to all relevant council departments to ensure effective decision making in relation to the active Asset Management Strategy development, delivery and programming.

You will keep the asset management database updated at all key stages, making it the data hub for all asset related information. This will enable current and accurate information on the condition of its assets and their performance. This information is vital in developing short and long term investment programmes of refurbishment, cyclical and reactive maintenance that will ensure the affordable delivery of the asset management strategy.

The Person

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and get stuck in to enhancing our property data suite. Ideally you will be educated to A level (in a scientific or technical discipline) or have equivalent relevant experience and a strong commitment to personal development.

Candidates must have experience of using IT systems to validate, analyse, maintain, extract and report on data.

Candidates must also have experience of identifying, implementing and monitoring quality measures as well as relevant experience and competence in the use of standard Microsoft Office products with expertise in the use of Excel.

You must have an analytical approach to data and data quality with the ability to assess and evaluate a range of options and able to think strategically and contribute to the overall success of the business

You must be able to successfully manage assigned tasks, ensuring that agreed outcomes are delivered on time and to the expected standard

You must have excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and co-ordinate own workload, prioritise tasks and be self-motivating with the ability to work on own initiative, or within a team

You must be able to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
