We are working with a third-generation family business that has grown to become a major player in the fresh produce industry as they look to take on a Trainee/Graduate Grower Manager to support their business as they continue to expand.

The Job:

You'll be taught how to grow a huge variety of fresh produce including kale, spinach, fresh herbs, legumes, chilies, brassicas and Chinese leaf to name a few.
You'll start off growing under polytunnels before being moved on to different areas of the farm such as outdoor crops.
You'll then be permanently placed in a management position after your period of training on the protected cropping or outdoor cropping side of the farm, depending on what you prefer.

The ideal person will have:

A background in agriculture or horticulture. - A degree in agriculture or horticulture is preferred.
You must have held a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months.
You'll have some tractor driving experience.
You'll be happy to get stuck in and you won't be afraid of hard work.
You'll have a genuine desire to build a career in farm management/growing/fresh produce and you'll be willing to learn.
