Red chilli recruitment are urgently seeking GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) experienced Laminators and / or GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) Finishers to work for our Poole based client, a very well respected and successful manufacturer of military work boats, architectural structures, high end leisure craft and rescue submarines.
Duties will include:
Working in a team environment laminating / finishing various components.
Preparing tooling for part manufacture.
Following processes and ensuring the highest quality is maintained at all times.
Vacuum bagging or vacuum infusion of parts.
Assembly operations, aligning bulkheads, stiffeners etc.
Work with QA team to ensure that parts that are being manufactured effectively and according to drawings and lay up books to ISO, DNV, Lloyds and BV standards.
Essential experience:
2+ years in a GRP laminator / finisher or boat building environment working in a high-end, quality driven environment
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
Good team player and excellent communicator.
A thorough understanding of GRP / composites and processes.
This is a long term permanent contract
Salary range: GBP12 to GBP13.50 per hour - 1.5 x rate over 40 hours. Plenty available (15-20 hours)
Hours: 06.30 - 16.30 Mon - Thurs
06.30 - 16.00 Friday with optional Saturday overtime.
Production Incentive payment of GBP400 per quarter (GBP1600 per year) also achievable.
Immediate start subject to Trade Test
