Our client a leading service provider based in Bristol, require an outstanding and inspiring Head of Human Resources. This is an exciting opportunity to move an already successful company forward. You will direct and lead the human resources function of the company in support o its vision values, strategy and business plan. You will implement a people strategy to ensure that the company recruits, retains, manages, develops and rewards staff in a way that creates a consistent, positive culture, helps achieve business aims and builds the company's reputation as an employer of choice in the region. * To deliver HR strategies, plans and support functions aligned to company objectives, strategies and values. * To lead on all people/workforce matter including change and business transformation; employee engagement; learning and development; building company culture. * To advise, coach and support leaders and managers as the senior professional and subject matter expert in HR matters * To oversee the continuous development on on-going review of HR policies and procedures to ensure they fit with overall business objectives and that they encourage and facilitate continuous improvement, development and progression of individuals and teams * To develop terms and conditions of employment to enable effective recruitment and retention of employees, and to lead on reward arrangements including negotiation of pay awards * To oversee and lead employee relations activities and arrangements for information sharing, consultation and negotiation with recognised trade unions. * To lead on initiatives to promote inclusion, equality and diversity in the company and to develop employment and learning opportunities for sections of the community who are under-represented. * To promote the company, and to ensure its visibility, to potential employees and business partners. * To develop schemes that will help the company attract high-calibre recruits, including graduate and apprenticeship programmes * To uphold and champion compliance with all relevant legislation and with Codes of Conduct, regulations and policies of the Company. * A Member or Fellow of CIPD * Extensive private sector HR background with an understanding of public sector industries * Proven experience of change management and delivery of projects and initiatives * Proven ability to establish and maintain credibility with senior colleagues and other stakeholders * Provision ability to work in a unionised environment and effectively manage employee relations matters and workforce engagement * Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to talk to groups and make presentations * Proven ability to influence, persuade and gain support for ideas, plans and initiatives * Personal integrity and ability to motivate and inspire others
