BS Social Care is a national organisation, specialising in the recruitment of professionals within the Health and Social Care sector. We are currently working alongside a specialist provider of residential Childcare and Education services in their recruitment of an experienced Residential Children`s Worker for a temporary basis with ongoing work.
In this role you will support the Senior staff and Registered Manager in providing the best quality childcare in a safe and care focused environment for the young people. When on shift you will have initial responsibilities for monitoring and supervision of the children & young adults in the service while ensuring the welfare and care of the young people.
You will be expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as support staff, to provide the best possible care for each child and young person. This involves the organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focused training, and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the service.
The successful candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Children & Young People
12 months experience in social care and working with children
