We are after a Medical Secretary for our Kingston Office. We have a position open up that would suit somebody looking for a varied career within the care industry.
With branches across South London and Surrey we supply home carers for a number of different needs and requirements and we need you keep our medical records up to date and accurate.
Your new role will primarily be preparing Medical Administration Record Sheets (MARS) for our service users in conjunction with GP`s, Local Council and other relevant services. You will be speaking with GP surgeries and dealing with MARS requests and monitoring the process to inform care workers where necessary.
You get the great opportunity to get out of the office to visit service users homes and deal with enquires as and when they come in.
Other duties include working as an assistant in the office and assisting with the Care team and looking at maintaining spreadsheets on medication errors and care workers that have made errors.
It`s up to you to alert management of potential high risk medication administration such as CD, medication administration through PEG.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or diploma with an understanding of the care or medical industry.
There are shift patterns involved working to cover our opening hours 7 to 7 Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm on Saturdays, and 8am to 2pm on Sundays. The bulk of these hours would not fall on your schedule- but enough so that you are familiar with the tasks and be able to provide holiday cover.
