This is an exciting opportunity to join a privately funded, new Scottish company, started by people who have a desire to innovate. The board team has over 30 years' experience designing, selling and operating datacentres and cloud services to deliver IT transformation.
Statement of Job Purpose
To operate as an external sales representative for the company with the objective to win new customers and manage those customers ongoing with the purpose of creating enough qualifying revenue to meet the annual sales target.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record in selling to senior IT management and CEO level into private and public sector organisations in Scotland and further afield. The role will include a combination of lead generation and working on leads generated by marketing campaigns will have access to a market leading portfolio of products that include Co-locate, Connect and Cloud services.
To succeed in this role:
- You will be highly motivated and have the right attitude. Ideally you will have a track record in selling similar products and services.
- You will report to the Commercial Director and be expected to maintain all your activity in a CRM system to provide weekly reports.
You will be given an annual sales target with monthly KPIs to monitor performance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate leads via approved activities such as events, social media, networking and cold calling
- Work on leads generated via marketing campaigns
- Qualify leads and convert into opportunities
- Customer meetings (including travel where needed)
- Marketing events
- Networking events
- Customer proposals/quotes
- Develop marketing campaigns with the marketing function
- Existing customer management
