They all work with the many business lines that the business operates in, which could be membership schemes, mainframe to cloud migrations, global travel and more. It's a diverse set up, and they need bright and up and coming Java developers to propose new ways of working. The work is extremely varied. One of the SCRUMs recently started re-writing their application using a microservice architecture deployed to a cloud-based infrastructure using Docker containers; another is at the early stages early stages of a 2 year journey to migrate from the mainframe to the cloud, and are looking to create a global cloud infrastructure that can support all their processing. The majority of SCRUMs have implemented a DevOps model with a big focus on automated testing. Tech in use: Java 8, Spring, SpringBoot, Oracle, Docker, JUnit, JMeter, Selenium, Cucumber, Kafka, Openshift / Kubernetes, Apigee, Splunk, AppDynamics, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, Content Management Systems and search technologies What you'll need to succeed If you're passionate about technology and want to keep your skill set relevant, and want to work on global development projects, get in touch.
