We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Asset and Service Configuration Analyst to join the YBS IT department. You will have the opportunity to develop and learn new skills, whilst providing a 1st Class experience for our customers and colleagues.

What you'll be doing:

As the IT Asset and Service Configuration Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of service assets and configuration items through an established and well maintained CMDB. You will oversee all activities within the IT asset life cycle; ensuring the value, cost and risk are all optimised for both hardware and software.

You will help with the development of the roadmaps, policies and processes for IT Asset and Service Configuration and ensure these are executed. As part of a continual service improvement programme you will recommend improvements and efficiencies.

You will promote an environment of service and quality, whilst developing a culture of success and effective customer service management to ensure that all your customers' expectations are exceeded.

Day to day you'll be:

  • Ensuring the integrity of service assets and configuration items through an established and maintained CMDB.
  • Coordinating all ITAM activity across the organization to enable collaboration that reduces the life cycle costs and risks of all the IT assets deployed. Educating colleagues in all areas of the Asset Management life cycle.
  • Delivering the service in line with agreed KPI measures, reported via monthly dashboards.
  • Taking ownership and execution of Asset and Configuration Management strategy, roadmaps and policies.
  • Ensuring that IT acquisition and disposal processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, environmental and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation.
  • Being responsible for co-ordinating the Group's response to software vendor audits, license validations, or financial audit requests. Also for providing information to colleagues across the Group to ensure license compliance.
  • Guaranteeing that all Group software has a clear RACI model and ensure colleagues compliance with their responsibilities. Including ownership of 3rd Party relationships where indicated in the RACI for software.
  • Demonstrating up to date knowledge on software license models and any impact to the Group is highlighted, in particular in relation to the top software utilised within the Group.

The Knowledge & Skills you'll have:

Essential

  • Experience of working in an Asset or Configuration Management team or of the processes involved within Asset and Configuration Management within an ITIL framework;
  • Previous experience using Service Now;
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail;
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines;
  • Previous experience of delivering a high level of customer service.

Desirable

  • CMDB Management experience
  • Software Asset Management experience
  • Hardware Asset Management experience
  • ITIL Foundation qualification and/or relevant experience
