My client is looking for a Social Media Manager to manage and develop activity on core social media channels for the B2B channel. With the aim to drive engagement, grow audience, increase traffic and ultimately encourage social media interaction with key stakeholders and clients. The successful candidate will develop social media usage and understanding across the sales team.
You are an outstanding, innovative social media expert, with a proven track record creating and driving campaigns to reach the target audience. You live, breath, eat and sleep social media and know what great digital content and campaigns look like. You are curious, creative, strategic and have an opinion on where digital platforms and channels, from websites, to apps, to video are heading.
Reporting Line
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will be part of the marketing team and closely aligned to the sales team across both the public and private sector.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
* Input into the B2B social media strategy - targeting specific industries, managers, and small to medium businesses.
* Execute all social media activities on a daily basis (i.e. tweeting, sharing, engaging, liking, increasing social reach) across core B2B platforms.
* Work with the wider marketing team and agencies to plan, manage, implement and optimize high impact social media campaigns tied to business goals.
* Take responsibility for training and ensuring the sales team are proactively using social media to drive engagement across their key stakeholders.
* Work closely with key stakeholders, such as the customer service and digital teams, to ensure consistency of message across channels and the business.
* Analyse, review and report on all social media activity and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and insights to drive future program enhancements.
* Leverage and continue to learn the latest technologies across social media, monitor trends and innovations and bring new and creative ideas to the table.
* Communicate online in a professional manner, aligned to the business key messages and tone of voice.
Person specification:
(Essential and desirable)
* BA/MS degree in management, marketing, engineering or a related field
* At least two years of hands on social media marketing experience within a B2B or B2C multi-channel environment.
* Social media channel experience using LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Slideshare and YouTube. Working knowledge and experience of the blogging ecosystem.
* Copywriting skills; ability to repurpose PR and editorial content for social media channels.
* Excellent analytical skills, data driven and a critical thinker.
* Working knowledge of analytics software such as Google Analytics and hands on Hootsuite experience.
* Driven by ambitious targets and excited by new challenges
* Creative thinker with ability to problem solve and find new ways of working in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail
* A team-player, who is comfortable to take responsibility and work with a high level of autonomy. You enjoy working in a fast-paced team where your contribution is vital.
