Quarry Supervisor

Our client is a leading global producer of Industrial Minerals and a Worldwide distributor of speciality chemicals. They operate from over 180 locations in over 50 countries and employ in excess of 8000 people. Their local South Cambridgeshire quarry is currently looking for an experienced supervisor to join their team.

If successful your primary responsibilities will be the planning, implementation, control, monitoring and supervising if the material product, on-site equipment and labour that is used with the quarry operations.

This will include the administration, profiling, extraction, transport, crushing, estate management, and road maintenance. You will supervise the repair, fault diagnosis, and of all mobile plant. This coupled with the same for all MRD plant machinery will be a high focus for you, as you will serve to minimise downtime, and reduce cost.

This position offers an extremely competitive salary, private health care, and 25 days paid holiday per year. You will be working with a well established, friendly and experienced team. You will be responsible for managing a team of quarry operators and be given management responsibilities in the absence of the site manager.
