in the beautiful and scenic Callanish, Isle of Lewis, Scotland, their own experts oversee the
commercial scale manufacture of omega-3 and omega-6 products for the pharmaceutical,
nutraceutical and food sectors. For over 20 years they have been developing novel purification
methods for fatty acids, such as the industry-leading Maxomega??? and Crystalpure??? technologies.
There is now a new exciting opportunity for a individual who has either a degree in a Science or
related Engineering discipline, or 2 years' equivalent experience in GMP manufacturing
environment, to join their existing team.

THE ROLE: As a Technical Specialist you will report to the Technology & Development Manager
wher you will provide specialist technical support to Process, Technical and Maintenance
functions. You will be responsible for supporting Production with completion and execution of
QMS documentation (CAPA's deviations). You will provide specialist technical process support to
solve process issues daily. As part of the Technical team you will plan, co-ordinate and implement
process improvement activities. You will monitor, trend and analyse process data on a routine
basis to support the identification and implementation of corrective and preventative actions to
improve processes, yields and throughputs

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Technical Specialists role will ideally have a
degree in a related Science / Engineering discipline or will have 2 years' equivalent experience in a
GMP manufacturing environment. You will be someone who pays close attention to detail and the
ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion within a team environment, proven
communication skills are also essential, both written and verbal at all levels and across functions
and candidates should also have strong collaborative problem-solving skills for critical analysis of
data. Candidates will either need to live in or be able to commute to Callanish, Isle of Lewis and
although applicants looking to relocate will still be considered, please note there is no relocation
package with this role.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Technical Specialists role in Callanish, Isle of
Lewis :-
- Must have a degree in a related Science / Engineering discipline or have 2 years' equivalent
experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills essential
- Ability to analyse critical data
- Must live in commutable distance to Callanish, Isle of Lewis or be willing to relocate
