Medical Receptionist
We have a staff vacancy for a Medical Receptionist who will primarily work as a Receptionist and duties will include appointment booking, handling patient enquiries and preparing repeat prescriptions.
This does provide an excellent opportunity to move in to General Practice and join our team of established receptionists.
The successful candidate will relate well to members of the public, have a professional and confident manner, have well developed administrative and people skills and be reliable and flexible as to working hours which are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. Experience in an office environment is preferred, though training will be provided as necessary.
The role is expected to be offered at 20 hours per week and it is expected the position holder will be able to provide additional hours for sickness and holiday cover.
We are also looking at a development role position initially for cover purposes with a view to contracting hours as and when they become available.
The NHS Pension scheme is available and initial rate of pay will be a minimum of £7.88 per hour. Selection and Application Process
We will be holding a walk in session for interested candidates when we will answer any queries and provide further information. This will give us the opportunity to meet each other after brief discussions if you remain interested take an application pack including job description and application form away for completion and return.
This informal ‘meet and greet’ approach should enable you to be clearer as to what you are applying for and avoid any necessary paperwork if the job is not for you.
This also enables us to meet you and be better able to assess the applications when they do come in, save a significant amount of time and shorten the recruitment process. Walk in Dates Wednesday 22 August 12.00-12.45 and Thursday 23 August 12.30-1.30.
The closing date for the return of applications will be Wednesday 29 August 5.00pm.
Formal interviews are currently scheduled to undertaken either Thursday the 6 September or Friday 7 September 2018.
