Job Title: Sales Team Leader

Purpose of the Role:

  • Identify, develop and win sales opportunities to drive company growth

Main Duties:

  • Identify, contact and qualify new sales prospects
  • Carry out sales visits to prospective customers
  • Help customers define their technical requirements and identify suitable Company products
  • Support customers in developing custom requirements where necessary
  • Generate quotations and proposals
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Bring sales enquiries to successful conclusions in line with company targets
  • Maintain regular contact with and support existing customers
  • Manage and grow the company's sales and distribution channels
  • Help organise and attend trade shows, webinars and other industry events
  • Provide technical support and product training to customers
  • Provide feedback on markets and products to the rest of the company
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times
  • Regularly report on sales activity to the Sales and Marketing Manager and other colleagues
  • Provide back-up and assistance to the Sales and Marketing Manager
  • Carry out any other general duties, commensurate with the nature of the role, that may be required from time to time

The successful Candidate will have/be:

  • Positive, ambitious and determined attitude
  • Experience of business to business sales in a technical field
  • Experience of, or interest in, team management
  • Business and commercial awareness
  • Technical electronics background preferred
  • Negotiation skills
  • Professional manner, both face to face and via telephone and email
  • Self-motivated, reliable and able to work unsupervised
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Good numerical and general computer skills - Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks when required
  • Full driving licence
