SAP Technical Development Architect

HCL AXON is growing and winning SAP business across the UK and Europe.

As such we are after an additional SAP Technical Development Architect to join exciting, bleeding edge SAP S/4 HANA projects and programmes.

Key Objectives:

• Be an expert in SAP development on platforms including S/4 HANA, SAP Cloud Platform and older SAP platforms.
• Establish Technical landscape and translate complex business requirements into viable technical solutions.
• Establish Technical governance process and framework
• Set up and run Design Authority board
• Able to define problem statement and create client strategy for common solution

• Uses a broad range of consultancy tools when delivering work.
• Can facilitate a client workshop.
• Is able to conduct one-to-one interviews with middle managers.
• Can contribute to a mixed workshop process.
• Be responsible for, the design, development and delivery of templates and accelerators across multiple areas of expertise. Oversee, or be responsible for, the design, development and delivery of product across multiple areas of expertise.

Content Excellence:

• Able to work with client to confirm requirements and establish rules of engagement.
• Understands the general strategic and operational dimensions of the relevant industry and applies to solution.
• Can lead functional or technical or mixed design workshops.
• Can explain the HCL AXON implementation methodology and relate it to different scenarios where it has been used.
• Is able to take client needs and translate them into an appropriate technical solution.
• Can design and adjust solution within the business context.
• Knows the key HCL AXON people and understands their roles both within the project and HCL AXON as a whole.

Delivery Excellence:

• Able to effectively manage a team of client team members.
• Understands delivery within a fixed price model and able to operate effectively within those constraints.
• Can take ownership of sub-plans for specific IBP's and can plan own time to ensure project milestones are met.
• Able to take an issue, then plan and deliver a solution using own initiative, with little guidance.
• Identifies and escalates issues and risks within project structure.
• Can build strong relationships with consultants within the project.
• Able to receive feedback/coaching on performance from other members of the team positively.

Client Development:

• Can contribute technical or procedural sections to a simple proposal.
• Can identify and escalate business development opportunities.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required:

• Experience with multiple of the following:

• ABAP 7.5
• S/4 HANA Extensibility
• Core Data Services
• Fiori/UI5
• Adobe Forms
• SAP Cloud Platform
• Odata Services
• Web IDE

• Strong Leadership skills in an Architect role demonstrated on multiple full life cycle implementations
• Good communication and client facing skills
• Knowledge of non-SAP development languages, eg Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js (desirable)
• Exposure to Agile, CI/CD and other modern development practices (desirable)
• Understanding of TOGAF 9.1 (desirable)
