We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Deputy Branch Manager to lead a recruitment team recruiting in a high volume hiring environment at our branch in Manchester City Centre.

This will be an extremely demanding role. Strong project management and organisational skills will be necessary.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership and management of a core team. Be approachable, receptive and supportive. Motivate and inspire!
  • Obtain and fully understand the client forecasted labour requirement to ensure 100% fill rate. Achievement of KPIs - i.e. 100% fill rate of Amazon requirements
  • Ensure that all new starters are onboarded in line with Company standards. Manage compliance of all candidate application packs
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the local labour market including competitor information to be able to drive intelligent candidate attraction.
  • Ensure that all activities meet with Company and Client policy, procedure and relevant legislation.
  • Ensure the engagement of our workforce by fostering a culture of fairness, transparency and consistency. Be approachable and ensure that all complaints/queries are resolved without delay.
  • Development of the annual budget in conjunction with line manager.
  • Ensure completion of PDR every 6 months. Be familiar, engage and positively contribute to Company communications.

  • Demonstrates effective leadership/management skills by clear direction, coaching, delegation to ensure the continuous development of team members
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy of own work and encourage the same for team members
  • Well developed analytical and collaborative skills to aid good decision making
  • Excellent commercial accumen, able to understand budget/P&L financial statements for the site


The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a track record in high volume recruitment and knowledge of the recruitment market in order to attract and retain the right candidates. Accuracy and attention to detail will be paramount and a flexible approach to working hours is essential. The role will require additional hours during peak periods. The role will attract a competitive salary commensurate with the demands of the role.
