About us 
We have secured funding to deliver a £3.7million programme consisting of 24 individual projects designed to recapture and enhance the natural and historic heritage of the Gwent Levels; celebrate its stories; provide new opportunities for learning, skills, participation and investment; encourage and provide access for all; and build capacity, resilience that will ensure a long-term future for this area.

About the role 
You will be part of a small team working with the Living Levels staff team and partner organisations supporting the delivery a variety of projects which have been developed over the course of a two year development phase. Your role will focus on providing administrative support to the Living Levels team consisting of five members of staff, the partnership Delivery Steering Group consisting of representatives from 7 core partner organisations and the Partners Board consisting of high level representatives from core partner organisations. You will help the team with the organisation and support of travel, meetings and events, respond to enquiries, process and file project data, assist with volunteer registration and preparing volunteer packs, take action notes at meetings and perform other administrative duties that may be required to support the team.

You will work closely with the Living Levels Finance and Administration Officer and Programme Manager to ensure the Living Levels Office functions efficiently and provides a supportive atmosphere for the team.

You will be employed by RSPB Cymru working to a plan agreed by the partnership. You will be supported by the "Delivery Group" made up of representatives from key partners.

The Living Levels Programme Team is outposted to a dedicated Living Levels office based within Natural Resources Wales offices on the Gwent Levels. This is a part-time (18.5 hours a week - days and hours negotiable) fixed term position for 3.5 years.

About you 
You'll be a well organised and reliable administrator who enjoys helping and supporting others in the execution of their duties. You are computer literate and proficient with a suite of Microsoft Office applications to support your work. You'll be able process and organise data with accuracy and in a timely and efficient manner, prioritising work as needed to ensure work flows appropriately within the team.

You will have good communication skills and be comfortable working with others including staff from partner organisations, volunteers and the general public.

You foster an open and supportive style that encourages and supports community participation and volunteering.

An ability to speak Welsh is "desirable" but not "essential" for this role. A Welsh version of the application is available on request.
