Junior Business Development/Software Sales

A new position within a leading Advertsing software company has bee made avaiable based in Guildford.

The ideal candidate would be a bright, strong, articulate and outgoing graduate to join the hugely successful Business Development Team and help generate new business sales opportunities in a commission based role to help drive business forward.

This would be a role where you could spring board within the company once learning the products and the business.

You would then then move into Field Sales or Account Management based on interest.

You will be given the tools and warm leads to help achieve your targets.

  • Generate qualified new sales opportunities (target 12) with key stakeholders who have decision making authority with the ambition to exceed personal targets, through research, email campaigning, networking and referrals
  • Maintains a sales funnel of high value opportunities that meet qualification criteria
  • Develop indepth knowledge of the software products to be able to pitch and articulate this to customers in a concise and professional manner
  • Understand competitor solutions to be able to pitch our solution against them
  • Submit standard sales metrics, eg weekly forecasts, pipeline, funnel, monthly progress and business reports on a regular and timely basis
  • Maintains our CRM system effectively for opportunity and contact management

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree desirable but not essential
  • Ideally - 1 year + related new business sales experience (but not essential)
  • New business and appointment setting experience is vital
  • Possess strong consultative and solution selling skills
  • Experience in developing excellent relationship and networking skills, working well in a team but also independently
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a good listener
  • Enthusiastic, competitive, high degree of integrity, self-motivated, positive attitude, proactive approach to work, and a confident approach to closing business
  • A desire to understand a product in depth and passionate about communicating customer benefits

Salary: GBP20,000 (negotiable) per annum base salary, plus OTE GBP11k but uncapped.
