Mechanical Development Engineer - Seaming

Are you seeking a career change or new challenge in a brilliant work place? A seaming Development Engineer is required for a local client!

You will be involved in all aspects of closing cans from tooling design and in house development to factory trials, training and support. You will be developing new seaming technology, with tooling package recommendations that are tested in house. You will also use SPC techniques to make assessments of seam quality whilst accounting for modifications made to the ingoing can and end components.

You will need to have a minimum of a HND in Mechanical Engineering. A degree in Mechanical Engineering would be desirable. You will possess strong problem solving skills and excellent hands on practical/mechanical skills when working to fine tolerances. You will have the ability and enthusiasm to develop the following skills: data analysis to form conclusions, tooling design via CAD and report writing and presentations using Microsoft Office. A second European language is also desirable. Some travel will be required mainly within the EU but also possible trips to the USA and Asia for short periods of time.
