Brook Street are currently working with one of the largest Finance and wealth management companies in the word which is based in Southampton city centre.

My client is looking for an Investment Administrator to join their busy team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The main purpose of the role is to be part of a team and you will have responsibility which may include control of day to day administration processes, risk management, query resolution, staff support, continual improvement and maintenance of customer and supplier relationships. The job holder will be expected to act in line with departmental and corporate procedures, policies and service standards.

Main duties & responsibilities:
Working as an Investment Administrator your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

" Delivery of service to customers in line with service standards and key performance indicators including the maintenance of good working relationships.
" Demonstrates an understanding of the departmental risk management process and financial control initiative (FCI) via timely management information, identification of issues and reporting completed in line with department processes.
" Organisation and quality assurance checks of work conducted by Clerical Administrator(s)
" Originate and propose continuous improvement initiatives
" Contribution to team and departmental projects
" Maintenance of good working relationships with key suppliers (including Fund Managers, Custodians and Third Party Administrators) or internal counterparts to enhance end to end process.
" Effective verbal and non verbal communication with key stakeholders.
" Supporting team members with regards to cross training initiatives or new staff members.
" Create own Personal Development Plan (PDP) and discuss your development needs and the necessary training requirements with line manager.
" To complete all tasks in line with service standards, procedures and compliance guidelines.

Skills & requirements:

" 5 GCSE`s Grade C or above to include Maths and English and/or NVQ Level 1 - or equivalent
" Either previous Investment Administration experience within financial services environment or educated to A level standard
" Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
" Working knowledge of MS Office products, in particular MS Excel
" Strong interpersonal skills
" Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
" Ability to work to tight deadlines
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm
