This role is a pivotal first line support role within the People Business Partner team for our employees based within the UK and Ireland. As a people facing role, this opportunity supports the team in delivering a first class service to the 'in-life' employees within our business areas such as new starters, leavers, family friendly, absence and temporary employees, ensuring that the highest possible level of support is provided to our employees.

What will be your key deliverables?

• You will provide first line support to managers and employees on all queries and low level employee relations issues, meeting with managers and employees as appropriate

• You will be responsible for conducting all exit interviews and provide information to the People Coordinator for reporting purposes

• You will support the team with business change programmes such as re-organisations, consultations and running consultation processes where appropriate. Additionally, you will work with our People Team Coordinator to ensure all back-end activities are completed and systems are up to date;

• You will be responsible for providing advice on, and undertake when appropriate, disciplinary and grievance investigations, note taking at appeal hearings;

• You will deal with absence queries, advising Managers on long term absence issues, conducting return to work interviews, liaising with wider People team members on absence related reports;

• You will provide overall support to our Business Partners in achieving their People Plan;

• Manage any flexible working requests and take notes at appeal hearings and own the process of ensuring our policies are accurate, consistent and easily accessible to our customers;

• You will be responsible for compiling employee data for L&D Activities and liaise with L&D team as required for nominations;

• Compile and analyse reports and create ad-hoc reports as required;

• Draft and raise business approvals for Acting Up Allowances and ad-hoc requests;

• Assist our managers and team in the completion of job descriptions and benchmarking, liaising with the reward team and other relevant members of the team;

• To work on projects within the wider People Team as required, working closely with the COEs.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a solid experience at an HR Advisor level

• A CIPD qualification desirable but not essential but must have a willingness to want to study and gain CIPD level 3 minimum

• Experience working within a busy, fast paced environment managing multiple tasks at once

• Has a passion for being an Advisor and doing a really good job and understands the value that this role brings to the team

• Can demonstrate drive, resilience and flexibility with constantly changing priorities

• A real love of systems and processes with an ability to challenge our way of working and make recommendations for what we can do better

• Can understand and interpret technical language, especially with regard to policy and contracts, and has the ability to communicate this to others effectively

• Basic understanding of employment law, ensuring that any responses are in line with legal obligations or raising where appropriate

• Rigorous attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
