The copywriter is a valuable part of the editorial and marketing team at White Stuff. Your role will be to produce accurate, informed and inspiring product and editorial copy across all customer communication channels and in the unique White Stuff tone of voice.
The successful candidate will be a meticulous self-subbing writer, used to tight deadlines and multitasking. You will need to have a strong understanding of fashion garment construction and fabrics as well as exceptional written English (and an understanding of German would be an added advantage but not necessary).
We're looking for a dynamic team player who thrives in a fast paced environment, someone who is curious, intelligent, professional and above all experienced and passionate about the written word.
You must be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, and ability to effectively influence and persuade externally and internally, across functions.
You will need to develop an excellent understanding of who the White Stuff customer is to determine what is relevant and inspirational for them.
What you'll be doing:
• Working closely with Buying, create inspiring, accurate and informed product copy across womenswear, menswear, kidswear and homeware that will increase conversion
• Write snappy copy for website homepage and landing pages
• Create informative, inspiring point of sale copy for use in shops
• Write inspiring headers and copy to bring campaigns to life
• Research and write engaging, SEO optimised editorial copy for blogs, emails, social media and print publications
• Sub edit and proof read all multichannel copy
• Adhere to and update the White Stuff tone of voice and style guide
What you'll need:
• Excellent command of English language, grammar and punctuation with a meticulous attention to detail
• Detailed knowledge of garment construction, textiles and fashion product terminology
• A creative, flexible and versatile writing style to cover product, editorial and formal customer facing copy
• Good understanding of best practice SEO
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Good understanding of Social Media
• Confidence in Wordpress CMS and HTML an advantage
