Health & Safety Manager
Location: Derbyshire
GBP32,000 - GBP38,000 plus pension and 25 days excluding statutory days
My clients are industry leaders in water, waste water and process filtration provider and are the largest growing water treatment company in the UK at present.
Due to expansion they are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their dynamic team.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Implementing a Health & Safety Program
- Ensuring the site management team (Engineering, Operations, Projects etc.) are accountable for H&S and that all rules, policies and procedures are enforced
- Driving a culture change and influencing the site leadership team to ensure they allocate the appropriate time for H&S within their site
- Advising the company on all matters associated with the statutory requirements under Health & Safety Law
- Identifying poor performance and issuing corrective instructions and support
- Conducting Risk Assessments and H&S training where needed
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- A minimum of 3 years Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing business
- A related qualification such as an IOSH or NEBOSH Diploma in OHS
- A full UK driving licence and comfortable travelling to sites within your region
- Auditing skills and past experience of dealing with HSE officials
- Past experience handling Risk Assessments, accident investigations and reports
- Experience of successfully running awareness and safety behavioural programs
