THE ROLE:
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced Primary Teacher to work within an independent residential specialist school. The school provides education and support for pupils between 10 to 19 years with specific learning difficulties.
The successful candidate must be a qualified teacher with experience of leadership within a primary setting.
As the Primary Lead you will work closely with the Head Teacher and Assistant Head in developing quality first teaching strategies to ensure the needs of all students are met within planning and within lessons. This role will also entail leading a team of colleagues in modelling and championing a number of areas, including how we personalise a curriculum; developing emotional intelligence; deepening understanding and developing practice in supporting our students; developing our links within the community to diversify the curriculum offered.
Also, useful would be experience of leading social and emotional wellbeing across the school, and linking this to the PSHE provision of the school. Thrive training would be an advantage too.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
" Be a fully qualified teacher
" Have experience of leadership within a primary setting
" Have experience of working with children who have specific learning difficulties
" Have experience of leading social and emotional wellbeing would be desirable
" Be patient, professional and committed to providing a nurturing environment
" Have excellent interpersonal skills
" Be highly organised and adaptable
