Neighbourhood Officer / Housing Officer

Up to £31,293.00 per annum

6 month fixed term contract

Our client helps people who are struggling to find a place to live. They help customers stay in their homes comfortably, so they can live the life they choose.

Although they’ve been around for 15 years, social housing has experienced significant changes. They feel now is the right time for them to transform the way they deliver services. They are passionate about maintaining a social purpose and providing affordable homes for local people. As they transition they aim to continue to support customers and build strong, independent communities and ensure the services they offer are easy to access, require low effort and fulfills the service promised.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person who thrives on new challenges, and who is self-motivated and a great communicator. You will need to be able to respond to challenging and sometimes complex problems, and crucially be able to manage the competing demands of this generic role.

Some of the key responsibilities are; tackling rent arrears, responding to and resolving reports of anti –social behaviour, supporting vulnerable tenants who need a bit of extra help and managing tenancy, estate and property condition issues. With the expectation you take a caring but enabling approach towards customers. Experience of using a variety of communication channels is essential, along with a good understanding of the challenges facing social housing tenants and landlords.

If you are ambitious, looking for a new challenge, want to be part of a progressive organisation and are willing to get stuck in and deliver great service, then they want to hear from you.

Previous applicants need not apply.
