NFER is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Data Manager/Analyst to join the team based in Slough. Joining us on a full time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £25,988 - £46,936 per annum; the level of appointment and associated salary will depend upon qualifications and experience. We have multiple roles as Managers and as Analysts.

About the Data Manager/Analyst role:
The Data Management Unit (DMU) is made up of a team of data specialists with a passion for working with big datasets and technology and a keen eye for detail. We provide expertise and advice on data management, develop online surveys, create web-based reporting and undertake database and panel management. We support many of NFER’s programmes of work and get involved in lots of varied projects. We’re also lucky enough to implement new technology and are involved from the conception to launch.
There isn’t such a thing as a ‘typical’ day in DMU, every day is unique. As our Data Manager/Analyst, you may be scripting an online survey, manipulating data which has come from a variety of sources, programming a macro or liaising with clients or internal staff. DMU have the opportunity to be a part of a wide range of projects in many different roles including data cleaning, sampling, report writing and project managing.
With a good degree with numerical or technical content you’ll enjoy working with data and new technology. You’ll enjoy being part of a team and good at liaising with a wide range of people. To become our Data Manager/Analyst, it is essential that you have:
- Experience in programming
- An ability to learn how to use different technologies
- Good organisational skills
- Great interpersonal and written communication skills
