Our client is a large, and growing, specialist land-based College, with centres throughout Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Tees Valley.

Their Learning Support Practitioners provide additional support and care to students with learning difficulties or disabilities across the College.

They are currently recruiting for full time, part time and variable hours roles for people with experience of supporting young people on a 1:1 or small group basis in an educational setting. They would expect applicants to have an understanding of some of the following Special Educational Needs – Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, social, emotional difficulties, speech, language and communication difficulties, dyspraxia and moderate to severe general learning difficulties.  These are fixed term roles until 25th May 2019 – Term Time Only (30 weeks).

Although you may be deployed across our curriculum areas, our client is keen to place staff according to particular experience and subject knowledge. At their York Campus, they have learning support vacancies in Animal Care, Countryside Management, Foundation Learning, Horticulture, Land-Based Technology, Sport and Uniformed Public Services. In addition, they require suitably qualified and experienced staff for the maths and English departments to specifically assist in supporting the delivery of functional and GSCE maths and English qualifications
