Experienced Practice Bookkeeper

Prominent and well respected independent firm based in North London with an enviable client base that includes clients from the media, entertainment and music sectors now has another exciting opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper.

Their Bookkeepers are responsible for a wide range of clients, spanning the entertainment, media and film industries, thought to local businesses and entrepreneurs. They are a collaborative, helpful team, willing to assist to ensure deadlines are met and clients are delighted with the service they offer.

They also ensure each team member is regularly reviewed, supported and rewarded. Development is always encouraged, which is why they have an opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper. The role is ideal for you if you are currently within an accountancy practice with one to two years' experience and you're looking for progression.

Your next role

You'll provide a first-class service in the completion of bookkeeping, reconciliations and preparation of Quarterly and Annual VAT return and Ledgers for our valued clients. You will be familiar with processing year-end journals. You'll also be responding to client queries, so it's essential you'll be comfortable in providing full confidentiality, transparency and exceeding expectations whenever possible.

My client will need you to have a keen eye for detail, teamed with the ability to spot any inaccuracies or duplications and provide resolutions. Efficiency and accuracy are key as well as exceptional interpersonal skills, effective communication and the ability to work to deadlines.

You'll also have/be:

AAT Qualified

Previous bookkeeping and ledger experience is essential

Strong MS office experience, particularly with Excel and Word

Previous experience using Sage and Xero systems is essential

Effective communication skills, both written and oral, at all levels

Previous practice experience is advantageous
