Independent Panel Chair and Panel Members
The Cornwall Council & the Council of the Isles of Scilly Fostering Panel are looking to recruit an Independent Panel Chair and Panel Members. We are keen to hear from people with personal experience of fostering such as previously fostered adults, foster parents or people who have worked with children or foster carers.
These roles involve attendance at the Fostering Panel up to two Wednesday's a month in Truro, plus a considerable amount of preparatory reading. A fee is paid plus travel expenses. Induction and ongoing training will be provided and you will be subject to annual appraisals.
Cornwall has a good performing fostering service and is committed to making improvements in foster-carer recruitment, assessment and support. This is an exciting opportunity to be part Cornwall's fostering service and assist in the implementation and putting in place solutions which lead to children achieving stability and good outcomes.
