The video team are at the heart of the Mirror online's digital operation and are a close and enthusiastic team to work with. They are now looking for a self-motivated video journalist to suggest and source clips, edit to a good quality and to occasionally film for the site. This is an exciting opportunity which will see the ideal candidate responding to breaking news on their own, as well as alongside the highly-skilled team.

Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be regularly required to interact with news editors, homepage editors, members of the social team, sports journalists and showbiz journalists, as well as journalists working on a variety of other departments.
The Ideal Candidate
You could be a recent graduate with some great experience and/or be an 'old-hand' at video. One of the most important things to us is that you possess a NCTJ or BJTC qualification and have a minimum of a year's experience in sourcing and editing video content for a digital news. You will understand major editing software and have a good grasp of media law.
Being a newsroom there are a variety of daytime and evening shifts encompassed in the role as well as occasional weekend work.
You must also be comfortable filming and using a camera and experienced in sourcing video content from social media. A knowledge of new and emerging platforms would be a bonus.
Most importantly, you will be driven by breaking news with a keen interest in current affairs, sport and entertainment
