Brook Street (UK) Ltd is currently seeking a Governance Support Officer for our client based in the Newtownabbey area.

This role will initially be for the duration of 4 months with possibility of extension, and our client would like the successful candidate to start immediately.

We're seeking candidates with 5 GCSEs, RSA Stage II word processing qualifications and excellent Microsoft Office skills.

The hours of work are 0900 -1700 Monday to Friday (37 hours per week). You will be paid an hourly rate of £12.

In this role, you will be responsible for;

" Providing business support for the operation of the system of paperless meetings and the circulation of staff members' documents.

" Providing sufficient support within the section including the servicing of meetings of client, recording proceedings, preparing minutes, compiling action sheets, taking action and following up as appropriate.

" Providing assistance in the preparation and collation of files, display material, etc for meetings and liaise with outside bodies with regard to presentation requirements, as necessary.

" Liaising closely with IT to ensure optimum use of resources to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and economy in the circulation of papers and improve communication with staff members.

" Raising Purchase Orders for stock, catering and stationary, ordering as and when necessary and check deliveries against goods ordered.

" Arranging meetings on request and book rooms and hospitality via the Artifax service. Co-ordinate any booking requests for the senior staff members.

" Assisting in maintaining a register of of Interest and attendance by staff members at meetings and conferences/courses for the purposes of paying subsistence.

" Providing a high level of internal and external customer service including taking ownership of customer queries and following issues through to completion.

" Demonstrating a team approach to achieving the objectives of the Section through full flexibility in relation to tasks undertaken.

" When necessary, providing back up support to the PA to staff members.

" Compling with the requirements of the Equal Opportunities Policy.
