About the Role
Our Auction Support Team Leader will provide effective and efficient support services to the Auction Centre on both sale and non-sale days, working as directed to ensure the smooth running of sales and providing customer service excellence at all times.
Managing and leading the Auction Assistants, you will ensure the front counter is manned to deliver great customer service and that queues are managed during peak periods. Dealing with any complaints in a timely manner, you must ensure that telephones are answered promptly, and that a professional and courteous approach is always demonstrated.
As Team Leader, you will take control of resource planning for your department including holiday planning, overtime management and absence management. You must ensure that the workload is efficiently and evenly distributed, that the front counter is adequately resources across the year and during peak periods and pro-active and hands on support is given where required.
We’re looking for an individual who is highly organised and able to manage time effectively, working to deadlines in a busy office environment. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have previous experience of working within a customer facing role providing a high level of customer service and demonstrate the ability to deal with difficult customers.
Experience of managing people/teams is advantageous, however this is not essential.
