Do you want to work in an exciting company who design, develop and manufacture specialist components and subsystems for some of the world's leading OEMs to working in the medical, science, aerospace, defence, industrial and commercial applications? If so this global company are keen to recruit a Production Engineer. The team provides engineering resources to support Operational performance and major product development projects; from design through to engineering build and production support, to end of life of product.

Duties:
Work with manufacturing and supply teams eradicate any problems of a technical nature.
Driving full root cause analysis with sustainable corrective actions in place.
Develop short to mid-range improvement plans for both product and process.
Assist manufacturing in creating balanced lines with the flexibility to change with production requirements.
Write and review process FMEA & control plans and complete Risk Assessments.
Plan and control the execution of manufacturing change from concept to production acceptance for process improvements and trials through permits, concessions, SWI's etc;
Identification and preparation of CAPEX justifications, when required, detailing of specifications and ROI for each application.
Review, update, write and maintain clear and concise work instructions (SOP's) for use by the Operations area.
Support Sales with the preparation of data for customer and project bids.
Control the introduction of new parts and tools into the manufacturing environment.
Challenge conventions in order to ensure continuous improvements, especially with regard to manufacturing cost and ease of manufacture.

Experience:
Experience of component manufacture and mechanical assembly manufacturing engineering.
Engineering experience supporting manufacturing.
Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing philosophies, i.e. design for manufacture I assembly / test techniques.
A working knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly, manufacturing and test
CI, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodology, Quality toolset experience.
Problem solving experience (8D, A3, Root Cause Analysis etc.).
Understanding of SPC data and calculations.
Hands on product, process, people and customer support.
British Citizen - Capable of obtaining SC Security Clearance + ITAR Clearance.

Hours 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday finishing at 4.30pm on Friday.
