When the proposition you're responsible for goes beyond just a 'nice to have' in people's lives and becomes an 'absolute essential' for the everyday lives for millions of people, that's when you know you're working on something not only meaningful, but also gives you that sense of wellbeing you're probably looking for in your next role.

This is a Senior Propositions Manager role with that point of difference.

You'd be looking after the cornerstone product of this company's empire. It's a telecoms business and the product itself is one designed and used by consumers every day of their lives. This is the product with the largest volume of customers (circa 8m) and within that, around a million customers who absolutely depend on this product, day-in, day-out.

It's therefore also represents the company's biggest single P&L too, but within that there's an awful lot of moving parts with customers on a wide range of tariffs and plans - some stand alone, some bundling up with other services too.

Within your remit will be control of that pricing strategy for all those moving parts, customer types and segments. Because it's so large, the impact of your decisions can have major ramifications - price incorrectly and you're either going to be turning people away, or leaving money on the table.

You're also going to be looking at proposition lifecycles, across the range of different offerings in specific segments, including things like advance payment based services which offer discounted rates to customers. As well as specialist service offerings to vulnerable customer segments, ensuring the solutions meet their specific needs too and doing right by those to which really rely on this product in their everyday lives.

On top of this will be regulatory projects too - either responding the regulator requirements or appeasing stakeholders on changes and updates, including things like policy updates and how they're communicated to customers.

So as you can see, this isn't any run-of-the-mill propositions vacancy, since it offers a lot of breadth and really meaningful impact too. As such it also gives a really great grounding for advancing someone's career because it covers so many different aspects, and does it at scale, within a massive business with everything being such massive scale, for such a high profile product category that your work won't help but be noticed by senior leaders and across the industry too.

Role: Senior Propositions Manager - Consumer Services
Location: London
Salary: GBP60,000 - 70,000 (these salary figures are DoE and include a circa GBP5k car allowance)
Benefits: 20% max bonus, pension, healthcare, life assurance and blue-chip benefits package

Experience Required:

* Experience of developing product and proposition solutions within the consumer space - doesn't have to be telecoms, the client is very open to industry backgrounds
* Got to have really solid commercial skills and have experience working with pricing, e.g. setting pricing strategies
* If you've got an interest in politics - certainly doing things like wargaming and strategy work, this will suit you well in this role
* Evidenced experience with budgeting and planning
* Experience can be from end client/brand owner environments of management consultancy
* Have a good understanding of proposition development and proposition management processes
* Bright, numerate, and can think creatively - especially around problem solving
* Marketing, commercial, propositions type backgrounds within consumer markets ideally
* Must have the necessary visas to live and work in the UK - sponsorship cannot be provided.
