Our client, a leading distribution business with over 20,000 SKUs sold to retailers and independent merchants through a large network of boots-on-the-ground field sales representatives, seek to appoint a Territory Sales Manager to their sales team. Covering the South East you will split your time between developing existing accounts (many and varied, you'll be working with a legitimate market leader, it's an easy sale as you will likely be the leader on price or service, or often both!) and visiting new prospects. As Area Sales Manager it is expected that you will meet with 6 people per day (whilst being responsible for your own diary and travel to minimise mileage, selling all across retail your potential market is huge) and be an excellent relationship builder (it's not a hard sell, it is about building relationships with smaller independent retailers and providing them with a fast, responsive service) who is comfortable meeting people face-to-face and has drive and determination. You'll receive a great company car and commission scheme and work for a friendly company with a great atmosphere and support network.

* Achieve value and profitability growth throughout the South East Region
* Maintain and grow existing customer relationships, identifying and securing new opportunities for growth within existing accounts
* Identify and develop new business opportunities with a wide range of retailers and independent merchants
* Manage pricing and promotions with customers according to budgets
* Continuously review customer call cycles, maximise efficiency of calls made, to develop new accounts

Territory Sales Manager - Skills and Abilities - Area Sales Executive / Retail / Independent Merchants / Sales Representative / Field Sales

* Previous experience of account management or sales in the field / face-to-face
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* A customer orientated outlook and sales experience based around providing a superior service
* Happy with travel (around 2,000 business miles per month) and possessing a full driving licence
* Ambitious and energetic with a drive / determination to succeed
