A successful local business is currently seeking an experienced individual to act as Lead Technician/Supervisor in a team of assembly operatives working night shift hours on a contract basis up until December 2018 in the Southend area.

What does the opportunity offer?

**Potential on target earnings circa GBP26.5k per annum (inc monthly bonus) pro rata PLUS exceptional benefits package**

* Basic salary GBP24,412.50

Is this you?

* Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
* Proven experience of fine hand skills and/or working with small components using precision tools (electrical/electronic or mechanical assembly) in a work context
* Experience of supervising, managing or training assembly/repair staff
* Ability to work as part of a team and lead by example
* Ability to understand and follow detailed technical instructions/plans
* IT literate, including basic emails, data entry, worksheets etc
* Enthusiastic towards learning new skills
* Happy to work nights on a 5-month contract basis

What does the role involve?

Responsibilities include:

* Working on a night shift as part of a team of repair technicians following approved repair processes and procedures.
* Supervising, training and assessment of repair staff
* Disassembly, refurbishment, repair, assembly and testing of a range of products to the required quality standards and within documented time limits.
* Reading, understanding and adhesion to standard operating procedures as defined in repair manuals, method sheets and other documented processes or regulations
* Inspection & quality checks throughout the repair process by means of visual inspection and/or electronic and mechanical function tests
* The correct application and use of precision hand tools, soldering irons, test equipment, adhesives and chemicals
* Accurate completion of administrative duties to include inputting data on computer systems and repair worksheets
* Support Team Leader where required with service report updates, service monitoring and completion of administration tasks
