We are currently seeking to hire an Accounts Assistant, in this role you'll assist the Management Accountant in the maintenance, reporting and management of the company's finances. You will be asked to provide administrative support and advise the Management Accountant in relation to the company's overall accounting process.
Specific duties include - Management of company cash transactions; Assisting the Management Accountant on month end processes (Prepayments / Accruals / Fixed Assets / Stock Control); Submission of reports to external stakeholders (VAT Return / EC Sales / National Statistics); Submission of reports to Internal stakeholders (Monthly Order Intake Report / Overhead Schedules); Reconciling the General Ledger and reporting on variances (Sales / COS); Assisting the Management Accountant on year end audits and Deferred Revenue and Costs as well as assisting the Purchase Ledger Manager on daily duties.
You will need to have experience with bookkeeping practices and accounting systems, knowledge of accounting terminology with a minimum AAT Level 3 qualification - Working toward Full membership. You will need to have excellent administrative and organisational skills, attention to detail with the ability to detect inconsistencies and experience in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel.
