Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer job in Alfreton - 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off.

Your new role
You will be part of a skilled Maintenance team, employed to service, repair and improve the performance of all manufacturing equipment, analysing faults and providing a solution in a safe and timely manner to maximise machine up time. Your main duties will include:

* Carry out fault finding and repairs to extrusion lines, moulding machines, ancillary equipment, downstream extrusion equipment and fusion equipment.
* Service equipment to agreed PM schedules offering improvements to current schedule where opportunities exist.
* Complete daily logs and data capture via CMMS system.
* Carry out duties required whilst contributing to the on-going improvement of process and product.
* Lead specific improvement projects where machine performance gaps exist by analysing data, scoping out improvements required and delivering against improvement gap closure plan.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer who has served an electrical/mechanical apprenticeship and holds the relevant certifications. You will have previous experience of faultfinding on PLC systems and have good working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Your experience is both electrical and mechanical, you can adapt to work on different types of machinery and you are able to follow PPM schedules. Your previous experience in a manufacturing environment will allow you to help with improvements to processes and machine efficiency. You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, who can also make timely decisions in order to keep machinery running at an optimum level and downtime to a minimum.
